In order to evaluate and estimate the success of knowledge management systems it is necessary to define performance measurement indices. Considering this importance area a research has been done to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge management systems. In addition the issue of how to assess the impact of knowledge management on organizational performance has been studied. Based on the research and reviewing the relevant literature in this paper a model has been presented for measuring performance of knowledge management systems. Using this model a number of indices are introduced and their interrelations are explained. At the end this paper also suggests some research areas in the field of performance measurement of knowledge management implementation.

In this research at first knowledge management processes and knowledge management effectiveness are surveyed witch use of confirmatory factor analysis then knowledge management processes (from Nonaka's perspective: internalization, externalization, socialization and combination) and knowledge management effectiveness are measured. Then relationships between them are examined by multivariate regression (stepwise) and partial correlation. Results have indicated that only internalization is accomplished at universities of Rafsanjan and three of knowledge management processes include internalization externalization and socialization are implemented and three of knowledge management processes include internalization externalization and combination are affected on knowledge management effectiveness.

In spite of spending too much expenses for acquiring and importing technology in most of the developing countries. And even in most organizations. It can be observed that these technologies are not well absorbed and the technology does not act as the engine of development. One of the main reasons behind this is the inconsistency between the culture of society or organization and the intended technology. In order that technology plays its role appropriately and acts as the engine of development first on one hand the kind of technology should be analyzed and examined closely and then according to that technology the appropriate culture should be developed. On the other hand in acquiring and importing technology to the organization. First the culture of the organization should be analyzed and examined in order to make it congruent with the intended technology. In this article an attempt was made to examine this kind of relation in Iran Khodro industrial group (sales and after sales service organization). In this paper first a brief literature survey on application of operations research in health care systems is presented. Then two problems the optimal allocation of ambulances and the scheduling of nursing personnel are discussed in details. Finally these two models will be applied on two real cases in Iranian health care system.

Value engineering is a collection of the organized and creative arts and skills which are guided to analyze the function of the product or the system. They aim to realize these functions with the minimum costs. Khorassan Pooya Gostar Company is the largest contractor of the Iranian car manufactures has to make endeavors to provide the rubber parts of disparate types of cars along with Iran’s industry to make its products competitive. Considering the high manufacturing expenditures the wastage quantity the manufacturing period and the low quality of the products the working procedures of this company has been set on the management agenda to solve the aforementioned quandaries through implementation of the value engineering methodology. This research is among the applied ones due to the objective type but considering the data gathering tools it is classified as descriptive researches. This research has been carried out based on the international American value engineering association during 3 chief stages by following the executive steps of each stage. The required information of the project and its objectives were done during the pre-study stage. The process components were identified during 6 steps in the next stage known as the value analysis. The function of each component was defined. Some proposals were proffered for each function. Having summarized and evaluated these suggestions the final scenario was proffered to be implemented. The results of implementing the proposals were registered and collated with the previous situation in the final stage namely the comprehensive study. After the implementation of the research and the proposed scenario the results were summarized which evince the amelioration of the manufacturing section of the company in all the fields. It is noteworthy that these results demonstrate 2 percent cost reduction 14 percent waste quantity 5 percent manufacturing velocity and the 100 percent quality rating.

An Integrated Methodology for Strategic Selection Problems

Strategic selection problem is a multi-criteria problem which includes conflicting tangible and intangible criteria. In order to select the most appropriate strategic alternative it is necessary to make tradeoffs between these criteria as well as taking into account the resource limitations which may exist. Available methods neglect the distance concept which exists between the alternatives weights with regard to a single criterion and its target value. In this paper in addition to applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a stand-alone methodology an integration of the AHP and Zero One Goal Programming (ZOGP) is proposed. In this integration each single criterion viewed as a constraint in a ZOGP model which enable the model to take into account not only the distances but also to consider the real resource limitation for tangible criteria. In order to justify the methodology, it is applied to selection of Advanced Manufacturing Systems (AMS).
