Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is an estimator. This estimator tries to assess a relationship between multiple inputs and multiple outputs, and an identified technology. In traditional DEA models, firms are classified into two divisions, efficient and inefficient. Efficient firms are considered as a reference for inefficient firms. In traditional DEA models, the efficiency improvement has been inspected for inefficient firms and efficient firms are assumed to be unchanged. Since the estimated technology is rationally smaller than the real technology or in other words, the estimated technology is always the subset of the true technology, we can expand it a little. Thus, we can improve efficient firms. This is done by creating some virtual DMUs. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed to expand the Production Possibility Set (PPS) and to improve efficient firms. To illustrate the proposed approach, numerical and applied examples are provided. The results are explained and discussed.

In today's competitive and global economy, the life and activity of the organization is determined by the ability to compete and adopt the most appropriate policy against environmental changes. In this regard, the knowledge about the performance of all aspects of the organization is vital for management decisions. Although extensive studies has been carried out in evaluating the performance of organizations through the balanced scorecard (BSC), but there are defects such as focusing on a one-way causality, ignoring the replacement between indexes and between the four-way, and equality between weighted value of indexes. In the present study, focusing on the casual relationships between factors and also between the direction and strength of these relationships, we tried to improve the balanced scorecard method. To do this, first all the relationships between the four dimensions of BSC were determined using fuzzy cognitive map, and it was then used to obtain a network structure, which was used later to create a network data envelopment analysis (NDEA) model. Finally, this model was used to evaluate the performance in Maskan Bank of Fars province. The results show that between 82 branches investigated, 15 branches were efficient and the others inefficient.

Data Envelopment Analysis and Balanced Scorecard, are two common tools that have been used by many researchers for performance evaluation. But none of them investigate effectiveness of BSC indicators in efficiency evaluation. Due to complexity of mission and evaluation criteria for operating organizations in media industry, they want to know suitable indicators for effectiveness evaluation, also the role and importance of these indicators in organization efficiency. With responding to these questions, organizations can allocating resources and take decisions according to the importance of determined criteria. In this paper we purpose a novel and hybrid model of DEA and cooperative game theory to rank the effectiveness of BSC indicators in efficiency evaluation for iran media industry. Results show that (profitability ratio, size of audience, human resource satisfaction rate, accuracy in production, velocity of propagation and satisfied audience percentage) are respectively most important indicators. Therefore, with considering importance of criteria and resources constraints managers can take better decisions

Today evaluation of customers to classify the quality of providing services is one of the main challenges of decision-makers in different organizations. It is difficult to respond to all customers’ demands because of increasing volume of them. On the other hand, in current competitive markets, customers are considered as capital of organizations. This issue results in purposefully study on different groups of customers in competitive markets. One of the effective ways to study the customers and provide the optimism service to them is grouping the market and clustering the customers. In this research first customers classified in appropriate clusters using neural network techniques SOM in order to provide purposefully service , so each customer can deliver proper service according to its cluster. Then by the proposed model in the paper the membership of each client in the appropriate cluster can be predicted by using DEA-DA technique. This model has provided dynamic clustering process for organizations so that by which new customers will be assessed at any moment and their proper cluster is determined with reasonable accuracy.

One of the important issues in project management is project portfolio selection. Issue of project selection and related activities is one of the important activities in most of organizations, especially contract companies and developing project centered companies. Issue of project choosing is a periodical activity for choosing suitable portfolio from suggested projects or organizational in process projects which enforce organizational goals in a desirable manner , without spending additional sources or / and neglecting other limitations. . In project portfolio selection, the most important issue which bring up is that this portfolio should conclude which projects. As much as project portfolio selection be more advisable, fulfilment of organization duties would be more probable. In choosing this combination, distinguishing opportunities, assessing amount of project cooperation with goals and organization structure and expenses, profit analysis and project risks has a great importance.
In this research has been used from qualitative and quantitative assimilated approach for project portfolio selection. In a way that at first we use DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) method to selection criteria and then with use Data Envelopment Analysis and criteria that selected in previous stage, calculate the efficiency for each project and rank all of them

Decision making is the essence of management and the manager is the one who can decide any time. Nowadays, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) are considered as the most eminent tactics of decision making. The aim of this study is to compare the techniques of DEA and the process of AHP and also measuring their potency in compare with each other in a field study. The platform of this survey was laid through identifying the key decision-making indicators regarding stock exchange from investors' side and recording the exchange information in a one-year period. Thereafter, by utilizing these techniques, these indicators have been prioritized. The results of the study revealed no significant difference in two prioritizing method. AHP has shown higher potentiality in prioritizing the key performance indicators in compare with DEA.
