This research investigates issues relating to facilities location which
covers network design under the conditions of uncertainty and robust
state. In this direction a model is developed in which lack of certainty
is taken into consideration regarding parameters such as demand and
various costs. Unlike the classical methods that the structure of
network is predefined and is predetermined, the facilities location
makes decisions with respect to the structure of the network.
The discussed issue in many real and actual applications such as roads
network, communication systems and etc does exist and locating the
facilities and designing the main network simultaneously are
considered as important factors; therefore redesigning and
optimization of models which look for simultaneous solutions seem
essential. There have been various strategies in the literature of
uncertainty optimization. Two of the most important strategies are the
“Probabilistic Optimization” and “Robust Optimization”.
This article employs the robust optimization to resolve the uncertainty
and the modelization arguments. Moreover using random samples, the
developed model is validated and for further mathematical analysis is
utilized
