This paper compares different multi-criteria inventory classification models. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a simple and applicable quantitative approach for this comparison. This model is capable to compare a large number of inventor)' classification models. The selected models for this comparison study are classical model, Weighted Linear Optimization, Fan & Zhou Model and Ng Model. We select 47 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) to compare the models and select the best model using the ‘fitness average approach'. The results show the robustness of Wan Lung model and weakness of classical model.

Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP) aims at maximizing a population of customers which are located within a specified range of time or distance from some new servers which should be located. A number of extensions have been proposed for this problem, one of which is considering queuing constraints in the mode; for example, location of a limited number of servers in such a way as to maximize the covering considering the constraint regarding to the queue length. In this paper, we extend the proposed model by Correa and Lorena [3] which maximizes the covering. We consider a more objective function in such a way as to minimize the total distance between the servers and demand points. A genetic algorithm based heuristic is proposed to solve the model and results are compared with that of given by CPLEX as a standard solver to estimate the performance of the given algorithm.

University is an organization with specific mission that needs to be evaluated for optimal using of resources and achieving to goals. To improve the status quo, by performance assessment could recognized weakness and strength and minimized input of resources. Thus, university has to know efficiency of faculties and to study cause of its efficiency and inefficiency, then to improve and to conduct faculties of inefficiency by using suitable programming. DBA model is nonparametric frontier method for measuring of performance and technical efficiency of comparable sets in converting similar inputs to similar outputs. In this paper, according to importance of university, largest higher education center in country, efficiency of Shahid Beheshti University’s faculties is evaluated by DBA using CCR model in two cases and with weights for inputs and outputs based on goal programming (min deviation variable, min sum deviation variables, min max deviation and multi objective LP) in period of 1382-1386. DBA based on goal programming has more power for separating and presenting real weights from classic models (CCR). Finding of research presented law faculty was inefficient, and earth, science and management and account faculties were top faculties based on observed indices in this period.

By identifying new methods in purchasing, warehousing, handling and ordering, all classical processes have lost their applications. These new methods such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) have provided the necessary tools that we need for decision making in specific situations. In this paper, some new definitions in re order point (ROP) have been discussed; in addition we have used Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for determining re order point for purchasing goods in commercial organizations, especially import companies. For this matter, ANN has been used for decision making in purchasing, and also normal curve has been used for calculating order lead times. In the conclusion, we agreed that our new model has many priorities to its classical kinds.

One of the most important problems in project management is the undesirable time and cost variances of projects which are not considered before the project implementation. This problem is the result of the risks, occurring in the length of the project implementation. In this case, Risk Management based on PMBOK standard can be proposed as a methodology that is so vital because of uncertain nature of projects and necessity of best resources usage. Also, one of the best methods to prioritize the risks quickly and accurately is Risk Failure Mode & Effect Analysis. In this article, risk assessment is presented by an integrated model based on Risk Management process of PMBOK standard and RFMEA technique in North Azadegan Oil Field Project.
Therefore, in order to achieve the purpose of this article, the risks of a project are identified, firstly. Then, they are prioritized by RFMEA technique. The third step focuses on simulating the project by Pert master software. Finally, the response strategies for each high-priority risk are determined.

Supplier selection and quota allocation is an important decision in supplychains. This decision can be considered as a complex multi-criteria groupdecision making problem. This decision in many practical situations is verydifficult for vague and uncertain environment. This vagueness and uncertaintycan be handled by using fuzzy set theory. Therefore, this paper proposed afuzzy MCDM model to evaluate candidate suppliers and quota allocation. Ahybrid ANP-VIKOR method in fuzzy environment applied first with 16criteria to evaluate suppliers. Then, a fuzzy multi-objective mathematicalmodel is used to quota allocation. Finally, the fuzzy model is solved by Tiwarimethod. An illustration with a data set from a realistic situation is presented todemonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

The volatile condition of today’s market is forcing the manufacturing managers to adapt the flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) to meet the challenges imposed by international competition, ever changing customer demands, rapid delivery to market and advancement in technology. Despite various barriers to implementation and development of FMS, there are enablers which facilitate this issue. One of the most important issues in this field and also the aim of this paper is to analysis the behavior of these enablers in order to effective utilization of them in the implementation and development of FMS. Enablers identified through literature review and industrial, and academic experts' opinion. Interpretive structural modelling (ISM) is used to develop a hierarchical structure for analyzing the interactions among enablers. Interpretive ranking process (IRP) is then used to examine the dominance relationship. ISM model highlights the importance of top management commitment and Financial investment over other enablers, whereas IRP model revealed supply chain management and operational and control techniques as the most important enablers due to performance areas. This study also gives a comparative account of ISM and IRP and shows that IRP is a more powerful tool, since it goes one-step further and considers the relationship of enablers with measurable performance indicators

In this paper, the problem of job scheduling and preventive maintenance activities is investigated simultaneously in an unrelated parallel machine’s environment with machine deterioration. Due to the existence of deterioration phenomenon and its effect on the job scheduling, the aim of this paper is to find the ideal time, the optimum number of maintenance activities and the sequence of the jobs, for minimizing the sum of job's completion times. Preventive maintenance activities may be needed because of tool wears or machine deterioration in a job scheduling horizon. Here, two different deterioration time function and tool wear are studied, in which the machines are reverted to the original condition after any preventive maintenance activity. The duration of each activity is considered as a function of its starting time and its position on the sequence of job scheduling. A mathematical model is proposed and due to its complexity, a simulated annealing Mehta-heuristic algorithm is used for solving the model. Finally, numerical examples are given and sensitivity analysis with various parameters is applied to evaluate the performance of the proposed method

Nowadays banks, credit and financial institutions are trying to increase profits, reduce costs, compete with rivals, attract customers and increase productivity. One of the factors that contributes to the implementation of these strategies is the optimum locations of branches. Locating the new branches of Mehr Eghtesad bank in the region 1 in Tehran city is the aim of this research. Since the focus of service centers such as banks is on maximal or full service to customers, among the all the covering models, Maximal Covering Location model is chosen as the best option to locate the new bank branches. To this end, related literature about locating bank branches, Geographical Information system (GIS) and maximal covering location problem (MCLP) examined. Then, through library Studies and interviewing with managers and experts, the researcher chose effective criteria and sub criteria for locating bank branches. The weights of criteria and sub criteria were determined through filling the questionnaires by managers. GIS used to extract some input data for the model and weighted maximal covering model (MCLM) with partial covering used to choose the best locations. Mathematical programming model formulated with 363 binary variables, 122 constraints, 121 demand areas, 121 potential points, the 1000 m buffer, α = 0.75, b = 50%, θ = 2 and s= 8 & 30 branches (with two different scenarios) and solved with GAMS optimization software. It is clear that by solving the first scenario, eight suitable locations and second scenario thirty suitable locations to open new branches will be generated.

Home health care services have a key importance in modern societies. Most organizations working in this area in Iran use the traditional procedure to plan and manage medical staff and determine the arrangement of visiting patients. This procedure often increases costs and reduces the satisfaction of patients. In this paper, a multi-period routing and scheduling model is proposed in order to visit patients and provide them medical services. Considering both dependency and independence of a patient's visits with each other, assuming the model as multi-depot as well as multi period are some innovations of this study. The main purpose of the proposed model is to reduce total costs of home health care organization. Model has been solved in small scale by GAMS software. To solve the model in large scale, developed Variable neighborhood search is proposed and compared with simulated annealing algorithm and ant colony system. Results show that costs are decreased and the proposed algorithm has better performance

Recovering, recycling, and remanufacturing end-of-life products (disassembly line) are appropriate methods of reducing the environmental impact associated with wastes. A disassembly line is a viable option for doing so. The objective of the disassembly line balancing problem (DLBP) is to coordinate disassembly line activities so that total operating times of workstations are nearly equal. The disassembly process mainly aims to reuse components in end-of-life products and thus reduce adverse environmental effects. This paper employs an approach based on the Kano model, Fuzzy AHP, M-TOPSIS, and PROMETHEE. Furthermore, using AND/OR precedence relationships, the optimal sequence of disassembly is obtained. Tasks are assigned to workstations according to priority and precedence relationships. An illustrative example of the proposed method is solved using both M-TOPSIS and PROMETHEE. Both methods lead to a decrease of two seconds in total cycle time. Despite yielding equal results, PROMETHEE is superior to M-TOPSIS in terms of complexity and ease of use. However, it takes longer to complete.

Portfolio selection has always been one of the important issues in the field of investment management, which discusses how to allocate an investor's capital to different assets and form an efficient portfolio. If the modeling assumptions for portfolio optimization is closer to the real world, the results will be more reliable. Considering single horizon for investment is not real and more investors are investing for more than one period to be able to revise their positions over time. Moreover, in the real world, data and parameters are always uncertain. Therefore, the development of multi-period portfolio optimization models is a basic requirement. In this paper, based on the portfolio theory, a new multi-period portfolio selection model is proposed, which contains transaction costs, liquidity constraints, threshold constraints, cardinality constraints and class constraints. Moreover, mean absolute deviation is used as a measure of risk and uncertainty of data is modeled with scenario tree. Also, in order to solve the proposed model, the dynamic programming method has been used and finally, the model efficiency was tested using data for 5 stocks from Tehran Stock Exchange in a period of 1390 to 1394. In the proposed model, the effect of some factors such as boundary of decision variables and the number of assets in the portfolio is examined. The results indicate that the proposed model has a suitable performance and completely consistent with the theory.

Supply chain collaboration has been recognized as a potential business differentiator and a source of creating competitive advantage. One of the most common collaborations in the supply chain is vendor managed inventory. In this paper a vendor managed inventory system at two echelons with one vendor and multi retailers is studied. At this multi products system, goods are send to retailers cyclically. At reality, there is no exactness about available capacity of warehouses space and budget of both partners. Therefore stochastic constraints of warehouse space and budget are added to the model. The goal of the model is to minimize the total cost of the supply chain by optimizing the order quantity of each product for each retailer. At the end a numerical example of the model is solved by GAMS24.1.2 software. The sensitive analysis on the partnerؘs parameters cleared that the parameters of the vendor is more effective to mitigate the total cost of the supply chain.

Nowadays the process performance is a key success factor in the competitive environment of banking industry. Various approaches have been proposed to identify and improve processes. Process mining is a new process management approach which is supposed to discover and improve the actual process model based on information technology. Despite of the theoretical development, authors have paid less attention to process mining applicability. In this paper applicability of the Fuzzy Miner algorithm of process mining to semi-automatic processes is investigated. We used PM2 methodology with some changes at the first and the fifth step to discover a semi-automated process model. At the first step manual and system data is combined and the desired detail level is determined by process owners. Then the model is discovered by means of Fuzzy Miner algorithm through ProM tool. As the manual data could affect the discovered model adversely so besides conformance checking criteria a new expert based criteria is proposed to validate the model. The expert validation criteria is equal to 87.2 percent for the discovered model of the selected process which means process mining could be applied to semi-automated processes successfully

AbstractIn this paper, a model for evaluating electronic services in nonprofit institutions is presented. The idea of this model was due to a vacuum of research in this field. Regarding this issue, independent variables have been extracted from the perspective of members of the research community for the evaluation of electronic services based on inductive method and fundamental conceptualization theory. These variables include governance issues, tools, and customers.Indicators for measuring two variables of government and a measurable tool refer to financial systems and based on cost accounting methodology. However, it was not possible to determine the amount (rials) of the customer variable in this way. Therefore, a process was developed using existing theoretical foundations, including the relative estimation method for accounting, the Delon and McLean evaluation model, and the value engineering and how these two variables influence the management and tools. Then, in order to test the model and development process, the municipality of Tehran decided to evaluate the electronic license of the traffic plan. The result of determining the value of electronic services allows the use of this model in real terms

This study examined the impact of the interaction between demand uncertainty and supply chain integration on firm performance (operational and financial dimentions) using a survey method with questionnaire. Previous studies had not examined the interaction impact between integration and uncertainty on supply chains performance as was done in this study. The research population consists of the firms that were in steel and auto parts industries. In total, 84 firms participated in the study. We used hierarchical regression model to test our hypotheses with industry type added as a control variable. Results show that integration in internal and process dimensions have positive impact on operational and financial performance. However, integration in product has negative impact on financial performance. When firms face with demand uncertainty, process integration will improve financial performance. Due to results, this study recommend companies to focus on internal and process integration as more effective types of integration, which improve financial and operational performance. In condition with demand uncertainty it is better for firms to prioritize process integration. Furthemore, type of industry dosnt have impact on study results.
